HAZELMERE ROAD NW6
Extension
Full Refurbishment
Interior Design

The project brief was to take a two-bedroom garden flat in very poor condition and convert it into a three bedroom flat with the addition of a rear extension.

The main focus was to reconfigure the main spaces, creating a desirable link between kitchen, dining and garden. Relocating a dark and tiny kitchen into the hub of the home, a light-filled extension was created, with clean, contemporary lines and extensive storage throughout to help with the open plan living.

The result is a light, airy home with garden for a young family.

As an extension to the project, MWA’s services were retained to design and supervise the construction of a garden studio. Timber clad in Western Red Cedar with large skylights, windows and sliding timber doors, it blends neatly into the rear of the property.

Whilst it is used as a large home office, the studio fits a large double sofa-bed and has a hidden shower room for visiting guests. This addition adds significanly to the value of the property.
