Previously a funeral home, Serena Morton Ltd hired Melissa White Architects to reconfigure and renovate two floors to provide open, calm, distinct spaces for a commercial gallery.

This involved a difficult planning permission, and the result was the successful conversion of property, with the addition of a much sought after terrace. The internal rooms were re-configured, to make the bespoke staircase the main feature, and using a paired-down palette.

The end result is a minimal but striking space, which has been highly successful with artists and customers.
